Helping people utilize technology to maximize independence and prepare for a job in the modern world.
We know learning new skills and technologies can be difficult for anyone. Our helpful, experienced team can guide you on your journey, assisting with the exploration and learning of desktop platforms, software, smart phones, apps, and other adaptive technology to satisfy your needs whether it’s for home or work.
That includes an assessment, an introduction to a variety of adaptive technologies, and skill building with specific programs and applications so they can be incorporated effectively into everyday life.
Skills training includes:
Web browsing techniques
We’ll teach you how to access and use screen readers or magnification to use websites effectively.
Keyboard skills
Mastering the keyboard is the key.
Mobile device usage
Get comfortable with the many apps and technologies that allow you to use voice commands or gestures to swipe, tap, and navigate your way around your smartphone.
Email and other communication options
Email is a tool of the modern world and knowing how to read, create, send, and attach files is a critical skill for employment and staying in touch.
Word processing
The ability to create and edit documents using word processing applications and screen reader technology is an essential skill we teach and will help you when searching for employment.
