South Arkansas man who’s blind earns achievement award – Robert D. Brown, formerly of Malvern, has been named the area’s outstanding Consumer of the Year by the Department of Human Services Division of Services for the Blind (DSB).

Alphapointe would like to thank Royals Charities and the Kansas City Royals for their generous donation and for allowing our youth to experience a behind the scenes touch tour, a beep ball game at the Little K and a nice chat with Steve Physioc, Joel Goldberg and KayCee the W Guy. We thank you!

Alphapointe will use the gift to establish an Endowment to fund orientation and mobility training and other education and training services for people who are blind and visually impaired who desire to be paired with a guide dog.

Kansas City-based Alphapointe signed a seven-year deal to produce prescription bottles for Express Scripts Holding Co. (Nasdaq: ESRX), adding to its ongoing growth.

Top executives from the U.S. AbilityOne Commission based in the Washington, D.C. area visited Alphapointe in Kansas City to see first-hand the many ways in which the agency is creating job opportunities for people who are blind and visually impaired

September 19, 2016, Kansas City, MO ~ Alphapointe was honored by National Industries for the Blind (NIB), the nation’s largest employment resource for people who are blind, with the 2015 Employment Growth Award. 

Jan Jones works for Teva Pharmaceuticals as Vice President of Patient Services and Solutions in Overland Park, Kansas. Her team provides wrap around services, such as education, nurse support and financial assistance, for patients prescribed Teva specialty products.
