Stan Wright
Vice President, Information Technology
Stan joined Alphapointe as Director of Information Technology in 2013. Now, as the Vice President of Information Technology at Alphapointe, he spearheads the company’s technological strategy and innovation initiatives.
Stan got his start as a Computer Technician at Ball State University. He went on to work for IBM as a Network Specialist, and then was contracted to Aquila by IBM, where he also worked as a Network Specialist. His last appointment prior to Joining Alphapointe was at SureWest Communications (formerly Everest Connections), where we started as an IT Operations Manager and was later promoted to Vice President of Information Technology. During his time there, he ran their hosted internet services and corporate computing environment.
What inspires Stan is the ability to use technology in new and innovative ways in support of the Alphapointe mission and those who come to us for services. “Technology has the potential to significantly enhance the lives of individuals with visual impairments,’ he says.
“What truly stands out to me is how Alphapointe goes beyond just enabling with technology. By prioritizing the whole person, we make a meaningful impact that extends far beyond technological advancements.”
Stan also says he likes the family feel between employees at Alphapointe where everyone supports each other.
Stan attended Ball State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and physics.
