Rod Underdown

Rod began his career in Houston, Texas, as part of the audit division of Arthur Anderson. He was transferred to Kansas City because of a new client acquisition. After nearly 10 years at the firm, he became Vice President at Compass Minerals, a multi-national mining and mineral products manufacturer in the United States and the United Kingdom. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, where he stayed for 13 years and helped the company complete their Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange and significantly grow shareholder value.

Rod also helped co-found a startup focused on developing patented technologies for use in autonomous applications. He joined Alphapointe in 2024 and is the newest member of the leadership team. He says he’s motivated by the Alphapointe mission and happy to use his more than 30 years of financial and strategic leadership experience in helping shape the future of the organization.

Rod received his degree in accounting and business administration from Southwest Baptist University.
