Gina Gowin

Gina came to Alphapointe in 2008, and as the Chief Development Officer, uses her 35+ years in communications, program development, fundraising, and public policy experience to support Alphapointe’s programmatic and capital needs and advocate for people with vision loss at the local, state, and national level.

“I love seeing youth, adults and seniors who say they aren’t capable because of their vision loss, and then they prove to themselves that they are.”

Gina’s career background includes Social Worker with the State of MO, Director at the Housing Authority, founder of the NW Communities Development Corporation, Director of Development for Synergy Services, and Executive Director of the Diabetes Freedom Foundation. 

Gina is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, where she studied criminal justice and social work.
