Alphapointe Wins National Award for Videos
The Telly Awards, a national competition that honors excellence in video and television, announced that two Alphapointe videos received Silver Tellys for productions completed in 2023.
The two videos, “Thoughts of a Blind Man” and “Can You See It,” are part of the brand refresh effort that Alphapointe is undertaking. Instead of a full rebrand, the videos and other materials being produced are designed to help reframe the conversation around what it means to live with vision loss.
“This is an honor for Alphapointe and all the people involved,” said Reinhard Mabry, President and CEO of Alphapointe. “We are very proud of our history, our mission, and our team, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our story with more people. Both of these videos reflect our mission of employing and serving those with vision loss, and will contribute to the effort to change the way the world sees blindness.”
The videos, which were developed and produced by two Kansas City companies, Nuance and Outriders, can be seen on Alphapointe’s YouTube channel:
The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 and are the premier award honoring video and television production. The entries are judged by a panel of over 200 industry experts, including executives from Netflix, ESPN, Vimeo, BBC, and The New York Times. This year, the Telly Awards received over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents.
